about us
MÁDENA is a small Palestinian-owned brand born in Málaga, Spain — a tribute to the timeless art of tatreez and the effortless elegance of Mediterranean life.
The idea for MÁDENA came from a personal search: finding clothes that could be worn comfortably in daily life while still carrying the beauty and meaning of Palestinian embroidery. The market is often filled with pieces that are either too formal for everyday wear or made from synthetic materials that lose their authenticity. At Mádena, we chose a different path — creating designs with high-quality natural fabrics like linen, cotton, and natural viscose, so every piece feels as genuine as the story behind it.

I’m Amina, the founder and designer of MÁDENA. My love for fashion, sewing, and tatreez started as a personal passion and grew into a mission — to share the richness of Palestinian heritage through wearable, thoughtful design. As a Palestinian, it has become increasingly important for me to preserve and express our culture, not only through traditional pieces but also through creations that fit into modern life.
At MÁDENA, we deeply respect the authenticity of the traditional handmade Palestinian thobe — a piece of art that can only be called real when it’s crafted by hand. Our work is not meant to replace it. Instead, we use high-quality cotton machine embroidery to bring tatreez-inspired details to life. This method allows us to make our pieces more accessible and gives me the creative freedom to explore new designs without limits, while always staying true to the soul of our heritage.

Living in Andalusia has brought me closer to my ancestral land. The warmth, the colors, the connection to the olive trees and the sea, the shared Mediterranean spirit. All of this is reflected in MÁDENA. Each piece tells a story of identity, craftsmanship, and belonging, creating a bridge between tradition and contemporary fashion, between Palestine and the Mediterranean.
All of our pieces are ethically made in Spain using only high quality materials.
